At INES_Magazina, we are dedicated to elevating the voices of artists who challenge dominant cultural narratives. ¨On the Horizon: 2025’s Must-Watch Artists¨ is a program highlighting the work of mid-career women artists and non-heteronormative creators. This initiative seeks to provide these artists with visibility and recognition. Our platform, founded on the values of intersectionality, decoloniality, and inclusivity, works to shift the conversation in art criticism away from patriarchal and heteronormative structures. We aim to amplify practices that resist colonial capitalist frameworks, offering a space where art and culture can be reimagined.

Through On the Horizon, we celebrate the work of those who actively reshape the future of art through their art exploration. By focusing on mid-career artists who embody diverse experiences, we seek to spotlight artistic practices that push boundaries and provoke thought.

The program features a selection of artists from which the public can vote for one. This artist will receive a critical article by one of the INES_Magazina art critics, further amplifying their work and ideas. This interactive process invites audiences into the conversation, allowing them to engage meaningfully with the artists and their practices.

On the Horizon is part of INES_Magazina’s mission to challenge the exclusionary systems that define traditional art narratives. Our platform is committed to engaging with art that resists dominant cultural paradigms, making space for voices and histories. By doing so, we aim to foster a more inclusive and diverse art world that reflects our time’s social and political realities.

Through this initiative, we strive to amplify the stories and practices of artists whose work embodies resistance, cultural innovation, and an ongoing reimagining of what art can be. By supporting these artists, we contribute to reshaping the narratives around art, culture, and identity, ultimately fostering a world where all voices are heard and valued.
