D. Dominick Lombardi is an artist, art writer and curator based in New York. His most recent exhibitions are group shows, “Smallish Season 2,” Gallery ONDO, (Jeju Island Artist Collective, Kyung-jin Kim, Eunsun Choi, and Yeon Jin Kim, Curators), Seoul, S. Korea, 2026 “Fingindo ou Fingimento (Pretending),” Braço Perna 44, Lisbon, and Atelier Ghostbirds, Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, 2025. A 45-year retrospective of his paintings, sculptures, mixed media kinetic art and drawings, which T. Michael Martin curated, traveled from the Clara M. Eagle Gallery at MSU in Western Kentucky in 2019 to the Marie Walsh Sharpe Gallery of Contemporary Art, Ent Center for the Arts, UCCS in Colorado Springs in 2021, concluding its run at the Dowd Gallery at SUNY Cortland, New York in February 2022. Lombardi’s next curatorial project “Multiverse” opens in February 2025 at the Hampden Gallery, UMASS Amherst. Lombardi is also working on an exhibition concerning humor in contemporary art, which will be held at the Hammond Museum and Japanese Stroll Garden, scheduled to open in the second half of 2025.
