Lorena Tabares Salamanca (Cali, Colombia, 1990) produces artistic culture through writing, research, and curatorial practice. In 2023, she earned a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and the Arts from the Nova University of Lisbon, with a dissertation on reenactments and the poetics of Journey for Life (2021). Invited by the National Pedagogical University of Bogotá and the Jean Jaurès University of Toulouse, she presented, through lectures and workshops, her pedagogical approach to archives and performance from a de/para-colonial perspective. She has curated exhibitions in various venues across Mexico, Portugal, and Austria, collaborating with the Mexican Cultural Institute in Vienna, Atelier Artéria, and the WienWoche festival. She was a curatorial resident at the Video-Park Festival in Užice (Serbia) and Neither on Land nor at Sea, organized by Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto (Italy). She writes for various online platforms, artist catalogs, and curatorial programs, including Arteinformado, Terremoto, Chiquilla Te Quiero, TBA21–Academy, and Improper Dose.
